Senator Armstrong Announces Grant for the Solanco Fair

State Senator Gibson E. Armstrong (Refton) announced today that the Southern Lancaster County Community Fair is the recipient of a $10,050 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.  The money will be used to install vinyl siding on a new exhibit building.   Senator Armstrong has been a strong supporter of Fair Funding in the Agriculture budget.  

"For nearly six decades, the Solanco Fair has been a mainstay in the southern part of Lancaster County," said Senator Armstrong.  "On each visit to the fair, I have been impressed by the number of young farmers displaying their agricultural products and livestock.  It is tradition that I hope continues. "

The 58th Solanco Fair will run from September 19th to 21st this fall at the Quarryville Fairgrounds.
